I Radwimps sono una rock band Giapponese formatasi nel 2001 mentre i membri erano alle scuole superiori. Il loro nome è un misto delle parole inglesi 'rad' e 'wimp'. Radwimp quindi è un termine da loro coniato che può assumere il significato di "debole eccellente" oppure di "super-codardo". Delle volte la band usa l'abbreviazione "Rad".

Radwimps is a Japanese rock band formed in 2001 while the members were in high school. Their name is a mix of the English words 'rad' and 'wimp'. It is a term they coined themselves meaning "excellent weakling" or "superlative coward". Sometimes the band tends to go just by the shortened version of their name, Rad.

RADWIMPS（ラッドウインプス）は、日本のロックバンドである。メンバーは4名。所属レコード会社はEMIミュージック・ジャパン。所属事務所は、(有)ボクチン（英語表記はvoque ting。所属はRADWIMPSのみ）。略称は「ラッド」もしくは「ウィンプス」。
バンド名は、すごい、いかしたという意味の「RAD」（米英語の軽い俗語）と弱虫、意気地なしという意味の「WIMP」を組み合わせた造語であり、かっこいい弱虫・見事な意気地なし・非常に怖がり、マジスゲーびびり野郎などといった意味である。
